Empowering you and your team to make a big noise

Giving a media interview can be a daunting experience, whether you’re the CEO of a charity or whether you’re sharing your own lived experience to support a charity.

At Cause we offer media training to help both charity beneficiaries and senior leaders feel comfortable and confident in getting their message across when speaking with the media.

We also offer storytelling training to comms teams, inspiring and teaching experienced comms professionals to use storytelling in their work in order to create impactful media coverage and memorable, successful campaigns.

    Storytelling

Stories engage an audience and inspire them to act.

Stories are memorable, and our brains are hardwired to react to and remember storytelling. But even for experienced communications professionals, using storytelling to make your writing come alive does not always come naturally.

    Here’s how Cause can help.

Our storytelling training workshops are designed to teach communications teams how to use storytelling in their work to make it more engaging, effective and memorable.

Our training packages will leave all participants with a clear understanding of what storytelling is, how and why it works and to ensure they leave the training ready to use storytelling techniques in their work.

    Media Training

Working with the media should be a rewarding experience where you can tell your organisation's story to an audience of millions in a way that’s engaging, memorable and inspires people to take action.

But whether you’re a charity CEO or someone sharing their lived experience, working with the media can also be a daunting prospect causing anxiety and stress.

    Here’s how Cause can help.

Our media training workshops are designed to help those working with the media to get comfortable and confident when speaking with journalists. We’ll teach you how to get your key messages heard and how to speak with confidence and passion about your cause.

 FAQs

  • The majority of our clients are national charities, and we specialise in working with membership and second tier organisations, where there are many stakeholders involved. However, we also have clients who are high profile individual campaigners and fundraisers. We work with clients and projects that are aligned with our values, and that have a positive social impact. You can find out on our results page.

  • We have a transparent fee structure for charities, our minimum commitment for a retained client is £2000/month and our one-off project fees start from £3000 (both plus VAT). As a small team, we carefully allocate our time to projects to ensure outstanding results, so work with our clients and potential clients to establish clear briefs and expectations.

At Cause we believe we provide excellent value for the significant amount of experience held within the team. If you work with Cause you will be working exclusively with expert charity communicators. We are efficient and impactful, and results-driven.

  • We also have experience of working with corporate clients, for example News UK, and can provide quotes separately for corporate work.
