PR THAT WORKS

Increase funding - Widen Coverage - Influence Policy

Campaigns and coverage that raise money, increase awareness and reach policymakers

At Cause we specialise in using storytelling to create, develop and deliver media coverage and bespoke campaigns for charities and community interest companies.

Using our story-first approach we work across print, broadcast and digital platforms to help charities and social interest companies make a big noise.

We have an in-depth understanding of the media and how to deliver an effective and tailored publicity strategy. By finding individual stories and matching them to the most suitable platform, we create effective and engaging coverage. And having been on the other side of the newsdesk we know and understand commissioning editors' expectations.

We also offer media training for both senior leaders and lived-experience storytellers, and we consult on and create Diversity and Inclusion guidance and style guides for organisations including News UK.

Disabled Children's Partnership

Disabled Children’s Partnership

Our work with the Disabled Children’s Partnership (DCP) started in 2017. As an organisation of more than 100 different charities the DCP has a wealth of expertise and stories, which Cause has helped them to unlock.

Our first campaign, the award-winning Give It Back, was run in conjunction with The Sun. Cause helped the DCP to frame their campaign demand, asking the Government to address the funding gap for disabled children, which has hit £573 million.

Our Process

  • 01. We listen

From our first conversation and throughout the time we work together we listen to and hear your goals and your ambitions. Whether it’s a single campaign or ongoing PR support, we take time to really understand your organisation and what makes you tick.

  • 02. We balance ambition with duty of care

We love what we do and we want to see our clients succeed. We value our duty of care to our clients and their beneficiaries, and we are experienced in working alongside vulnerable groups. At Cause we will always make sure everyone knows what to expect from our coverage and feels supported and heard throughout the process.

  • 03. We collaborate

We work closely and creatively alongside our clients to achieve their goals. We bring our expertise to work along with yours so we can create meaningful stories that have real impact.

  • 04. We create

Once we’ve got a deep understanding of your values and what makes you tick, we identify great stories and we pitch them to our extensive network of contacts across the media. From Sky News to The Spectator, we’ll help you to understand the media landscape and achieve the coverage that will enable you to raise funds, raise awareness and raise your charity’s profile.

  • "I welcome The Sun and its readers campaigning on important issues around special educational needs and disabilities. I want every child to have the best possible start in life and to fulfil their potential.”

Chancellor of the Exchequer, Rishi Sunak

  • “The dedication and love of the families in the Sun’s Give It Back campaign is inspiring. We know how vital government support is, which is why I announced over £700m more for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities next year.”

    Health Secretary, Sajid Javid

  • “Every single child who isn’t getting the education they deserve, every parent who has been let down by the system, that pains me. Do I apologise for that? Of course I do, and it’s exactly why we must put this right.”

    Children’s Minister, Will Quince
